Very Berry Sorbet

It's almost labour day and what better way than to cool off from the heat with this healthy and yummy sorbet recipe!

What you will need:

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

4 cups (20 oz by weight) frozen or fresh mixed berries

1 tablespoon lemon juice


  • Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat and bring just to a boil for about 8-10 min, until it’s sticking to the spoon lightly.  
  • Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
  • Pour fresh or frozen berries, simple syrup, lemon juice, and 1/3 cup water into a blender and blend on high until smooth.
  • Pour directly into a shallow dish and place in the freezer for a few hours until hardened.
  • Eat immediately or store tightly covered in the freezer for up to a week.
